Candy Kush Feminised

What Is Candy Kush Feminised?

Candy Kush Feminised earns its name honestly. The flavour genuinely reads as sweet, candied and citrus-forward, a rare combination given how potent its Kush genetics run.

Royal Queen Seeds crossed OG Kush with Trainwreck to create the line. Both parents bring serious pedigree: OG Kush for its resin and relaxation, and Trainwreck for its faster finish and citrus-forward flavour. As a result, the two together produce a strain that’s genuinely easier to grow than either parent alone.

What makes this version stand out is how quickly it finishes without giving up flavour or potency. As a result, growers get a genuinely sweet, resin-heavy result on a shorter timeline than most Kush-family strains.

Origins & Genetics of Candy Kush Feminised

Candy Kush Feminised comes from an OG Kush and Trainwreck cross. Royal Queen Seeds bred the original line, and every source this page draws on agrees on that parentage. Most sources also agree on an indica-leaning phenotype, generally putting the split around 60% indica to 40% sativa.

Royal Queen Seeds themselves now also sell a separate, newer “Candy Kush Express,” a faster-flowering cross of Sweet Special and OG Kush. Breeders designed that one specifically for speed rather than as a straight rerelease of the original, so don’t confuse the two names when comparing grow reports.

This cross has built a strong reputation across several seed banks since its release. So its core character stays remarkably consistent, even where THC figures vary a little by source.

Candy Kush Feminised Effects, Aroma & Flavour

Users commonly describe a euphoric, uplifting onset that gradually settles into calm, full-body relaxation as the high develops. As a result, most reports agree it suits evening use more than a functional daytime lift.

The aroma leans sweet and citrusy, with candied fruit notes up front and an earthy Kush finish underneath.

Myrcene, limonene and caryophyllene lead the terpene profile in most reports. Our guide to maximising terpenes is a useful companion read if you want to preserve that candy-sweet flavour through curing.

Growing Candy Kush Seeds

This strain rates as genuinely easy to grow. Its hardy, fast-flowering genetics make it forgiving even for a first-time grower, and as a bonus, its shorter flowering window means less total time invested per harvest.

Indoors, its compact structure responds well to Sea of Green setups. Our guide to growing cannabis indoors in Australia covers the setup basics if you’re planning an indoor run.

Outdoors, this strain does well in a warm, sunny climate, and its fast finish means it can go into the ground a little later in the season than a slower strain would allow. Our Australian cannabis grow calendar is a useful companion read for timing an outdoor planting correctly.

Candy Kush Flowering Time & Yield

Candy Kush Feminised typically finishes flowering in 7 to 9 weeks. Indoors, expect yields of around 450 to 525 g/m² under good conditions.

Outdoors, a healthy plant typically produces somewhere between 400 and 510g, assuming reasonable light, space and a full season. As always, actual results depend on light, nutrients, training and how well you manage the grow overall.

Treat those figures as a solid planning benchmark rather than a guaranteed outcome. Overall, because this strain grows so hardy and forgiving, it tends to reward even a fairly relaxed approach to care. Our guide to spotting quality weed is a useful companion read once harvest day arrives.

Who Candy Kush Seeds Suit Best

This strain suits growers chasing genuine Kush potency on a faster, more forgiving timeline. It also suits users after a relaxing evening high with a genuinely sweet flavour to match. In particular, beginners will appreciate how quickly and easily it finishes.

On the other hand, it’s a less natural fit for anyone chasing an energising, functional daytime high. If you’d prefer a different sweet, candy-leaning classic, Bubblegum Feminised is worth a look. For anyone after genuine Kush character with an easier, faster grow, though, Candy Kush Feminised is hard to beat.
