What Is Master Kush Feminised?Master Kush Feminised brings a genuine Amsterdam classic to a full photoperiod grow. White Label, Sensi Seeds’ own sister brand, originally bred the strain from two Hindu Kush region landraces. It then went on to win the High Life Cannabis Cup. This feminised version grows on a standard light cycle, flowering once switched to 12/12.
Several seed banks now sell their own feminised version of this cross. Most work from the same Hindu Kush heritage. Dutch Passion separately describes its own line as one of the oldest original Kush varieties still available today. So growers get that same clear-headed, deeply relaxing high that made the original a genuine Amsterdam legend.
What makes this version stand out is how faithfully it carries forward Master Kush’s reputation for potency, resilience and old-school Kush character. As a result, it remains a popular choice for growers after a forgiving, easy-going indica with real cannabis history behind it.
Origins & Genetics of Master Kush Master Kush Feminised traces back to a cross of two well-known landraces from the Hindu Kush region. That heritage spans Afghanistan and northern India. White Label bred and stabilised the strain in Amsterdam. Dutch Passion’s own materials independently describe the same Hindu Kush ancestry. One source instead lists a Hindu Kush and Skunk cross. That reads as a likely mix-up with a different Kush hybrid rather than a genuine alternative account.
Most sources describe a predominantly indica plant, without giving an exact phenotype percentage. THC generally lands between 15% and 24%, with most reports clustering around 20%.
This cross has earned a strong, award-winning reputation for its clear-headed yet deeply relaxing effect. So its core character stays remarkably consistent, even where its exact yield figures vary a little by source.
Master Kush Effects, Aroma & FlavourUsers commonly describe an unusually clear-headed euphoria that gradually eases into a heavy, calming body stone, all suited to evening use. That combination makes it a genuine option for anyone after real relaxation without feeling foggy.
Meanwhile, the aroma leans earthy and piney, with hash-like spice, citrus and subtle woody undertones running through most reports.
Our guide to maximising terpenes is a useful companion read if you want to preserve that earthy, hash-like character through curing.
Growing Master Kush SeedsThis strain rates as easy to grow across every source, with a genuinely forgiving nature that suits first-time growers. Since it’s a full photoperiod plant, it needs a switch to a 12/12 light cycle indoors to begin flowering.
Indoors, its short, bushy structure suits Sea of Green setups and keeps things manageable without heavy training. Our guide to growing cannabis indoors in Australia covers the setup basics if you’re planning an indoor run.
Outdoors, this strain prefers a drier climate and handles less-than-ideal conditions comfortably thanks to its robust, landrace-derived build. Our Australian cannabis grow calendar is a useful companion read for timing an outdoor planting correctly.
Master Kush Flowering Time & YieldMaster Kush Feminised typically finishes flowering in 7 to 10 weeks from 12/12, with most reports landing around 8 weeks. Indoors, expect yields of around 400 to 500 g/m² under good conditions. One source, though, lists notably higher figures up to around 600 g/m².
Outdoors, a healthy plant typically produces somewhere between 400 and 600g, given reasonable light, space and a full season. One source’s own review also mentions an exceptional 2.5 to 3 kilo harvest. That reads as a standout result, though, rather than a typical outcome.
Because this strain finishes on a fairly quick photoperiod timeline, it also suits growers happy to commit to one well-timed outdoor season. Our guide to spotting quality weed is a useful companion read once harvest day arrives.
Who Master Kush Seeds Suit BestThis strain suits growers chasing genuine, well-documented landrace genetics with real Amsterdam history. It also suits beginners after a forgiving, easy-going indica that doesn’t punish small mistakes. Specifically, smaller-space growers will appreciate its compact, Sea of Green-friendly structure.
On the other hand, it’s a less natural fit for anyone after a strongly energising daytime effect or a fast, self-flowering timeline. If you’d prefer a faster, self-flowering timeline instead, with no light-cycle switch to manage, Master Kush Autoflower is worth a look. For anyone after a full-season grow with genuine, old-school Master Kush character, though, Master Kush Feminised is hard to beat.
